Managing Weaknesses

 





Hellos,

What's your weakness??  This question is often asked in interviews and it is one of the most definitely asked questions.  At that time we get confused and often try to find out what our weaknesses are, try to search it on google or ask our family and friends.  But seldom we reflect on our behavior and ascertain what are our main required improvement points.

Further to 'Know Thyself' post, take out few minutes alone with yourself without any distractions. Sit in a quiet place, close your eyes, take a deep breath and reflect on yourself.  Let the thoughts come in.  Most of the times, we know all the answers.  Your weaknesses will come rushing to you!!

Some examples are :

1.  Do you get angry easily and then repent later?

2.  Are you anxious or fearful?

3. Do you lack motivation?

4. Do you procrastinate?

5. Are you addicted to social media?

Once you have identified some of your weaknesses, pick up only 2-3 major ones that you really want to improve upon.  Acknowledgment is the first success !!   Work on one weakness at a time.  e.g. if something is making you angry, count till 5 before giving any reaction. If you lack motivation, read books, listen to podcasts, listen to other people success stories, reach out to mentors.

It will take a lot of time and effort investment but it is not impossible.  "Take baby steps always" is the Mantra.   Also remember that no one is perfect and perfection is not the aim. Aim is to better yourself so that you can remove all the clutter and grow in life.

We are humans and our strengths and weaknesses make us who we are.  Weaknesses are not villains.  They are just roadblocks you have to avoid so that you can have your life's happy journey!
